Edith (Aldgyth) of was born about 1041 in Saxe, Mercia, England.  Edith (Aldgyth) of's father was Aelfgar III Earl of East Anglia & Mercia and her mother was Aelfgifu of the Seven Boroughs.  Her paternal grandparents were Leofric III Earl of Mercia and Godiva of Coventry , Lady Godiva; her maternal grandparents were Sigeferth (Siferth) Thegn of the Seven Boroughs and Ealgyth of Mercia.  She was an only child.  She died after 1086.
