Maud (Matilda) was born about 1192 in Pembroke, Pembrokeshire, Wales.  Maud (Matilda)'s father was 1st Earl of Pembroke William Marshall 1st Earl of Pembroke and her mother was Isabel Fitzgilbert De Clare.  Her paternal grandparents were John "The Marshall" FitzGilbert Marshall and Sibilla De Salisbury; her maternal grandparents were Earl Of Pembroke Richard "Strongbow" Fitzgilbert De Clare Earl Of Pembroke and Eva (Aoife) McMurrough. She had five brothers and four sisters, named William, Richard, Walter , 5th Earl of Pembroke, Anselme, Gilbert, Eve, Isabel, Joan and Sibyl.  She died on March 27th, 1248.

‌Maud (Matilda) and Hugh were married in a religious ceremony before 1207 in Pembroke, Pembrokeshire, Wales.  They had two sons and a daughter, named Hugh, Roger and Isabel.


Maud (Matilda)'s second family with Earl of Surrey William Plantagenet De Warenne Earl of Surrey

‌Maud (Matilda) and William Plantagenet were married in a religious ceremony in 1225.  They had a son named John.
