Maud was born about 1192 in Pembroke, Pembrokeshire, Wales.  Maud's father was William Marshal , 4th Earl of Pembroke and her mother was Isabel de Clare , Countess of Pembroke.  Her paternal grandparents were John "The Marshal" FitzGilbert , of Rockley and Sibyl de Salisbury; her maternal grandparents were Richard Strongbow de Clare , 2nd Earl Pembroke and Eve (Aoife) MacMurrough. She had a brother and four sisters, named William, Sibyl, Eva, Isabel and Joan.  She was the third oldest of the six children.  She died on March 27th, 1248 in Tintern Abbey, Chapel Hill, Monmouthsire, England.


Maud's first family with Hugh Bigod , 3rd Earl of Norfolk, MCS

‌Maud and Hugh were married in a religious ceremony in 1207 in Pembroke, Pembrokeshire, Wales.  They had four sons and a daughter, named Roger, Hugh, Ralph le, Simon le and Isabella.


Maud's second family with William de Warenne , 6th Earl of Surrey

‌Maud and William de were married in a religious ceremony before October 13th, 1225 in 2nd husband 2nd wife.  They had a son named John de.
