Hugh De was born about 1186 in Of, Wigmore, Herefordshire, England. Hugh De's father was Roger de MORTIMER LORD OF WIGMORE/LORD OF WIGMORE and his mother was Millicent De FERRERS. His paternal grandparents were Hugh de MORTIMER Lord of Wigmore and Maud (Matilda) De MESCHINES; his maternal grandparents were William de FERRERS 3rd Earl of Derby and Sybil de BRAOSE. He had three sisters named Miss De, Joane (Isabel) de and Miss De. He was the oldest of the four children. He had six half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Ralph de, Ralph de, Hugh De, Roger, Robert De, Philip, Joan De and Sined. He died in November 1227.-
