Ida de was born in 1063 in Louvain, Brabant, Lorraine, France.  Ida de's father was Henry II Count of Louvain and her mother was Adelaide of Orlamunda.  Her paternal grandparents were Lambert II "Baudry" Count of Louvain and Oda of Lorraine; her maternal grandfather was Eberhard Count of Beteau. She had two brothers named Henry III Count of and Godfrey Count of.  She was the youngest of the three children.  She died at the age of 76 in 1139.


Ida de's family with Baudouin II Count of Hainault

‌Ida de and Baudouin II Count of were married in a religious ceremony in 1084.  They had two sons and four daughters, named Baudouin III Count of, Arnulph de, Aleidis de, Ida de, Yolande de and Alix de.
