Ida (Idonea) was born about 1206 in Salisbury, Wiltshire, England.  Ida (Idonea)'s father was William I Longespee , Earl of Salisbury and her mother was Ela FitzPatrick , Countess of Salisbury.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry II "Curt Mantel" King of England and Rosamond "Fair Rosamond" de Clifford; her maternal grandparents were William FitzPatrick , 2nd Earl of Salisbury and Eleanor de Vitre. She had two brothers and a sister, named William II, Stephen de and Isabel.  She was the oldest of the four children.  She died after 1266.
