Matilda (Maud) Empress of was born before August 5th, 1102 in London, Middlesex, England.  Matilda (Maud) Empress of's father was Henry I "Beauclerc" King of England and her mother was Matilda Atheling Edith Canmore of Scotland.  Her paternal grandparents were William the Conqueror King of England and Matilda Countess of Flanders. She had four half-brothers and thirteen half-sisters, named Renaud, Henry, Robert, William, Alice Of, Emma Princess Of, Constance Matilda, Joan (Elizabeth) of, Sybil, Rohese, Maud of, Constance, Emma, Sybil, Mabilia (Eustacia), Maud and Mathilda Of.  She died on September 10th, 1169 in Notre Dame, Rouen, Seine-Maritime, France.
