Louis II "The German" King of East was born about 0805 in Germany.  Louis II "The German" King of East's father was Louis I "The Pious" Holy Roman Emperor and his mother was Ermengarde de Hesbaye.  His paternal grandparents were Charlemagne I Holy Roman Emperor and Hildegard of Swabia; his maternal grandfather was Ingerman I Count of Hesbaye.
