Rotrude (Hildegarde) Princess of was born about 0803 in France.  Rotrude (Hildegarde) Princess of's father was Louis I "The Pious" Holy Roman Emperor and her mother was Ermengarde de Hesbaye.  Her paternal grandparents were Charlemagne I Holy Roman Emperor and Hildegard of Swabia; her maternal grandfather was Ingerman I Count of Hesbaye. She had two brothers named Lothair I Holy Roman and Louis II "The German" King of East.  She was the second oldest of the three children. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Charles II "The Bald" Holy Roman, Gisele of and Alpaide Princess of.  She died on August 23rd, 0860.
