Yolande of was born about 1175 in Flanders, France.  Yolande of's father was Baudouin VIII Count (V of Hainault) of Flanders and her mother was Margaret of Alsace , Countess of Flanders.  Her paternal grandparents were Baudouin IV "Le Batisseur" Count of Hainault and Alix de Namur; her maternal grandparents were Thierry II of Lorraine , Count of Flanders and Sybil d' Anjou. She had a brother and two sisters, named Baudouin IX Count (VI of Hainault) of, Isabella of and Sibyl van.  She was the youngest of the four children.  She died in August 1219 in Constantinople, Turkey.

‌Yolande of and Peter II Count de were married in a religious ceremony before July 1st, 1193 in Soissons, Aisne, Picardy, France.  They had two daughters named Yolande de and Eleanor de.
