Matilda (Maud) was born in 1032 in Flanders, France.  Matilda (Maud)'s father was Baudouin V Count Of Flanders and her mother was Adele Princess Of France.  Her paternal grandparents were Baudouin IV "Barbatus" Baldwin IV De Count Of Flanders/Fair Beard and Otgive De Luxembourg; her maternal grandparents were Robert II "The Pious" France [King] and [Queen France] Constance Of Provence. She had four brothers and a sister, named Baudouin VI (I) "The Peaceble" Of, Robert I "Le Frison", Henry, Robert I Le Frison Count Of and Judith (Fausta).  She was the second oldest of the six children. She had two half-sisters named Elena Of and Helene "Le Bon" De.  She died at the age of 51 on November 3rd, 1083 in Caen, Calvados, France.  She was buried in Church Of Holy Trinity, Caen.
