Maurice was born about 1100 in Castle Carew, Pembrokeshire, Wales.  Maurice's father was Constable Of Pembroke Castle Gerald Of Gerald Constable Of Pembroke Castle/Windsor and his mother was Heiress Of Carew Nesta Verch Rhys Heiress Of Carew.  His paternal grandparents were (Keeper/Forest) Walter Fitzotho Castellan De Walter (Keeper/Forest)/Windsor and Beatrice De Offlay; his maternal grandparents were King Of Deheubarth Rhys Ap Rhys Ap Tudor King Of Deheubarth/Tewdwr and Gwladus Verch Rhiwallon. He had two brothers and four sisters, named William, David (Bishop Of St. Davids), Hadewise De, Agnes Fitzgerald, Miss De and Angharad. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Henry and Maud Princess Of.  He died after September 1st, 1176 in Wexford, Kildare, Ireland.  He was buried in Abbey Grey Friar, Welford, Berkshire, England.
