Maurice "Make Peace" was born about 1120 in Bristol, Gloucestershire, England.  Maurice "Make Peace"'s father was Robert "The Devout" FitzHarding , Lord Berkeley and his mother was Eva FitzEstmond.  His paternal grandparents were Harding and Livida of Gloucester; his maternal grandparents were Estmond , Sir Knight and Godiva. He had a brother and a sister, named Robert and Helen.  He was the oldest of the three children.  He died on June 16th, 1190 in Berkeley Castle, Thornbury, Gloucestershire, England.  He was buried in Church of Brentford, Middlesex, England.
