Matilda Maud Of Chester was born in 1106 in Bristol. Gloucestershire.  Matilda Maud Of Chester's father was Earl Robert "The Consul" Of Gloucester DE CAEN and her mother was Duchess Mabel FitzRobert Of Gloucester FITZHAMON.  Her paternal grandparents were King Henry I "Beauclerc" "The Good Scholar" OF ENGLAND and Edith FITZFORNE; her maternal grandparents were Lord Robert Of Glamorgan FITZHAMON and Sybil DE MONTGOMERY. She had two brothers and two sisters, named William Muellent Of Gloucester, Philip FitzRobert, Mabira (Mabel) and Maud.  She died at the age of 83 in 1189.
