William de FERRERS EARL OF DERBY

William de was born about 1172 in Of, Ferrers, Derbyshire, England. William de's father was William de FERRERS 3rd Earl of Derby and his mother was Sybil de BRAOSE. His paternal grandparents were Robert de FERRERS EARL OF DERBY and Margaret PEVERELl; his maternal grandparents were William de BRAOSE, 1st Baron of Abergavenny SHERIFF OF HEREFORD and Bertha De GLOUCESTER. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Son De, Son De, Robert, Isabel De, Agatha De, Elizabeth De, Millicent De and Petronille De. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Hugh De, Robert de, Ermintrude and Margery. He died on September 22nd, 1247.
