Richard I "The Lion Hearted" King of was born on September 8th, 1157 in Beaumont Palace, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.  Richard I "The Lion Hearted" King of's father was Henry II "Curt Mantel" King of England and his mother was Eleanor of Aquitaine.  His paternal grandparents were Geoffrey IV Plantagenet , Comte d'Anjou and Maud "The Empress" Princess of England; his maternal grandparents were William VIII Count of Poitou X Duke of Aquitaine and Eleanor de Chatellerault. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Geoffrey, John I "Lackland" Plantagenet King of, John Lackland Plantagenet, Henry "Young King", Matilda Princess of and Eleanor Princess of. He had five half-brothers and five half-sisters, named William I, Richard I "The Lion Hearted" King of, Geoffrey, John I "Lackland" Plantagenet King of, Henry "Young King", Agnes Capet Princess of, Marie Capet Princess of, Alix Princess of, Matilda Princess of and Eleanor Princess of.  He died at the age of 41 on April 6th, 1199 in Chalus, Haute-Vienne, Aquitaine, France (dsp).  He was buried in Westminster Abbey, Middlesex, England.
