Richard I "The Lion Hearted" King of was born on September 8th, 1157 in Beaumont Palace, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.  Richard I "The Lion Hearted" King of's father was Henry II "Curt Mantel" King of England and his mother was Eleanor of Aquitaine.  His paternal grandparents were Geoffrey IV Plantagenet , Comte d'Anjou and Maud "The Empress" Princess of England; his maternal grandparents were William VIII Count of Poitou , X Duke d'Aquitaine and Eleanor de Chatellerault. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Geoffrey, John I "Lackland" Plantagenet King of, Henry "Young King", Matilda Princess of and Eleanor Princess of. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named William I, Agnes Capet Princess of, Marie Capet Princess of and Aleide (Alix) Princess of.  He died at the age of 41 on April 6th, 1199 in Chalus, Haute-Vienne, Aquitaine, France (dsp).  He was buried in Westminster Abbey, Middlesex, England.
