Edward I Plantagenet "Longshanks" King O was born on June 17th, 1239 in Westminster Palace, London, Middlesex, England.  Edward I Plantagenet "Longshanks" King O's father was Henry III Plantagenet King of England and his mother was Eleanor of Provence.  His paternal grandparents were John I "Lackland" Plantagenet King of England and Isabella Taillefer de Angouleme; his maternal grandparents were Raymond V Berenger Count of Provence and Beatrice of Savoy. He had a brother and a sister, named Edmund "Crouchback" and Beatrice.  He died at the age of 68 on July 7th, 1307 in Burgh-on-The-Sand near Carlisle, Cumberland, England.  He was buried on October 28th, 1307 in Westminster Abbey, London, England.
