Alfred "The Great" West Saxon King of was born in 0849 in Wantage, Berkshire, England.  Alfred "The Great" West Saxon King of's father was Aethelwulf King of Kent & Wessex and his mother was Osburh.  His paternal grandparents were Egbert I King of Kent & Wessex and Raedburh de Carolingians; his maternal grandfather was Oslac Ealdorman , Royal Cupbearer. He had three brothers named Aethelbald King of, Aethelberht King of Kent & and Aethelred I King of Kent &.  He was the youngest of the four children.  He died at the age of 50 on October 26th, 0899 in Winchester, Hampshire, England.  He was buried in Winchester Cathedral, Winchester, England.
