Richard "Strongbow" Fitzgilbert was born about 1125 in Tunbridge, Kent, England.  Richard "Strongbow" Fitzgilbert's father was Earl of Pembroke Gilbert FitzGilbert De Clare Earl of Pembroke and his mother was Isabel Elizabeth De Beaumont.  His maternal grandparents were Earl of Leicester Robert De Beaumont Earl of Leicester and Isabel De Crepi De Vermandois. He had a sister named Alina.  He was the older of the two children. He had three half-sisters named Alice Of, Emma Princess Of and Constance Matilda.  He died on April 20th, 1176 in Dublin, Ireland.
