Adele's father was Count Herbert I DE VERMANDOIS & SENLIS and her mother was Bertha OF MORVOIS. She had a brother and four sisters, named Hurbert II, Beatrice, Kunigarde, Sprota and Sprote Of Brittany.General Notes
Credited with the first unification of the country, convertedthe Danes to Christianity, and conquered Norway. After hisBaptism his fathers pagan tomb was transformed into a Christianplace of worship.
Introduced Christianity into Denmark, he had the famous Jellingrune stone erected in his parent memory. He was fatally woundedduring a rebellion by his son and successor, Sveng I.
