Edward was born about 1356 in Gloucestershire, England. Edward's father was Edward DESPENCER BARON DESPENSER and his mother was Elizabeth De BURGHERSH BARONESS DESPENSER. His paternal grandparents were Edward DESPENCER and Anne FERRERS; his maternal grandparents were Bartholomew BURGHERSH Baron Burghersh and Cicely De WEYLAND BARONESS BURGHERSH. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Phillip, Hugh Le, Thomas Le, Cicely, Anne, Margaret, Elizabeth and Phillippa. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died in Ae 2.-
