Was responsible to Duke William, later the Conqueror as hischeif architect in the defence of the Middle marches of theborder in his defence against the Welsh. He built many castlesincluding, Montgomery, Shrewsbury, Arundel, Ludlow, Clun,Hopton, And Owestry. Over 90 percent of the Lordships and manorsof Shropshire were held in Chief at the Somesday by thispowerful Roger.
Giselbert and Gerberge were married in a religious ceremony in 0929. They had two daughters named Gerberge and Alberade.
