His paternal grandparents were Count Fulk I "The Red" OF ANJOU and Roscilla DE LOCHES DE LA HAYE; his maternal grandfather was Herve DU MAINE. He had a brother and two sisters, named Geoffrey I "Grisgonelle" "greymantel" Of Aujou, Adelaide and Arsinde.General Notes
