Peter I Count de was born about 1125 in Paris, Seine, Ile-de-France, France.  Peter I Count de's father was Louis VI "The Fat" King of France and his mother was Adelaide of Savoy.  His paternal grandparents were Philip I King of France and Bertha of Holland; his maternal grandparents were Humbert II Count de Maurienne & Savoy and Gisela of Burgundy. He had two brothers and a sister, named Louis VII "The Younger" King of, Robert I Count of and Constance Princess of.  He was the youngest of the four children. He had a half-sister named Isabelle Princess of.  He died in 1183 in Palestine.
