Miles (Milo) SIre de was born about 1075 in Courtenay, Gatinais, Isle-de-France, France.  Miles (Milo) SIre de's father was Joscelin I (Jocelin) Sire de Courtenay and his mother was Elizabeth Isabel de Montlhery.  His paternal grandfather was Athon Sire de Courtenay; his maternal grandparents were Guy I Seigneur de Montlhery and Hodierne de Gometz , Dame de la Ferte. He had a brother and a sister, named Josselin II de and Hermengard (Vaindelmonde) de.  He was the second oldest of the three children. He had a half-brother named Bernard III de.  He died after 1127 in France.
