Matilde Capet 
Matilde was born about 1080 in Vermandois, Normandy, France. Matilde's father was Hugh "Magnus" Capet , Duke of France and her mother was Adelaide de Vermandois. Her paternal grandparents were Henry I Capet , King of France and Anna Yaroslavna , Grand Dutchess of Keiv; her maternal grandparents were Herbert IV, Count of Vermondois and Adela de Vexin. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Raul, Henry, Charles, Guilaume, Isabel, Beatrice, Constance and Agnes. She was the oldest of the nine children.-
