Margaret de was born on December 22nd, 1314 in Of, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, England.  Margaret de's father was Gilbert "the Red Earl" de CLARE EARL OF GLOUCESTER & HERTFORD and her mother was Joan "of Acre" of ENGLAND COUNTESS OF GLOUCESTER & HERTFORD.  Her maternal grandparents were Edward I "Longshanks" King Of ENGLAND and Leonor Princess Of CASTILE AND LEON QUEEN OF ENGLAND. She had a brother and two sisters, named Gilbert de, Eleanore de and Elizabeth de.  She was the youngest of the four children. She had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Thomas, Edward, Isabel, Isabel De and Mary de.  She died at the age of 27 on April 9th, 1342 in France.
