Otto I Count of was born about 1170 in Macon, Saone-et-Loire, Bourgogne, France. Otto I Count of's father was Frederick I Barbarossa Holy Roman Emperor and his mother was Beatrice de Macon. His paternal grandparents were Frederick II von Hohenstauffen , Duke of Swabia and Judith of Bavaria; his maternal grandparents were Raynald III Count de Macon , Count of Burgundy and Agathe de Lorraine. He had two brothers named Henry VI Holy Roman and Phillip II Duke of Swabia Holy Roman. He was the second oldest of the three children.-
