Susan Maud De was born about 1160 in Bramber, Sussex, England. Susan Maud De's father was William II De Braose 1st Baron Of Gwentland and her mother was Bertha De Pitres Heiress Of Brecon/Hereford. Her paternal grandparents were Sir Philip Baron De Braose Sir and Aenor De Toteneis; her maternal grandparents were Miles De Pitres [3Rd Earl Of Hereford]/Gloucester and Sybil De Neufmarche [Countess Of Her. She had six brothers and five sisters, named Philip De, William III 5Th Baron De, Engeram De, Reginald De, Roger De, Giles De, Maud De, Avelina Agnes De, Matilda (Maud) De, Sybil De and Bertha De. She was the second youngest of the twelve children. She died on December 29th, 1210 in Llanbadarn Fawr, Perfedd, Cardiganshire, Wales. She was buried in Strata Florida.-
