Margaret de was born about 1412 in Bletsoe, Bedford, Bedfordshire, England. Margaret de's father was John 3rd Baron de Beauchamp , of Bletsoe, Sir and her mother was Esther (Edith) Stourton. Her paternal grandparents were Roger 2nd Baron de Beauchamp , of Bletsoe, Sir and Joan Clopton; her maternal grandparents were John de Stourton , of Preston, Sir Knight and Catherine Beaumont. She was an only child. She died before July 20th, 1482 in Westminster, Middlesex, England.General Notes
Margaret, de jure suo jure (according to modern doctrine) BARONESS BEAUCHAMP OF BLETSOE, widow of John (BEAUFORT), 1st DUKE OF SOMERSET (who died s.p.m. 27 May 1444), and before that of Sir Oliver ST. JOHN, sister and heir of John BEAUCHAMP, daughter of John BEAUCHAMP, of Bletsoe (according to modern doctrine 4th and 3rd LORDS BEAUCHAMP OF BLETOE), by Edith, daughter of Sir John STOURTON. Note: CP & Burke's have Margaret as daughter of 2nd wife, Edith Stourton; while MCS and AR have her (probably, but not certain) as daughter of 1st wife. Margaret's birth date of c 1412 is the same as her father's death date, yet he married a 2nd wife after Margaret Holand; if Margaret was daughter of Margaret Holand, it doesn't give Sir John much time to get married again and then die. I am going with the 2nd wife.
