Ramon Berenguer II Count of was born about 1053 in Barcelona, Spain.  Ramon Berenguer II Count of's father was Ramon Berenguer I Count of Barcelona and his mother was Almonde de la Marche , Countess of Barcelona.  His maternal grandparents were Bernard I Comte de la Marche and Amelie d' Aulnay. He had a brother named Berenguer Ramon II "Fratricide" Count.  He was the younger of the two children. He had three half-brothers named Hugh VI "Le Diable" Sire de, William IV Count of and Raymond IV Count of.  He died on December 5th, 1082 in Killed on way to Gerona, probably by twin brother and co-ruler.
