William D'Aubigny "le Breton" IV Earl of was born in 1128 in Arundel, Sussex, England.  William D'Aubigny "le Breton" IV Earl of's father was William D'Aubigny III Earl of Arundel and his mother was Adaliza of Louvain.  His paternal grandparents were William D'Aubigny Lord of Buckingham and Maud Le Bigod; his maternal grandparents were Godfrey I Duke of Lorraine and Ida of Chiny & Namur. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Geoffrey, Ralph, Henry, Simon, Matilda, Olivia and Agatha.  He was the oldest of the eight children. He had a half-brother named William De Albini I Lord.  He died at the age of 65 on December 24th, 1193.
