Ermengarde was born in 1018 in Of, Anjou, France.  Ermengarde's father was [Count] Foulques III "Le Noir" Anjou [Count]/Nerra and her mother was [Countess Of Anjou] Hildegarde Hermengarde De Bougency [Countess Of Anjou].  Her paternal grandfather was Geoffrey I Grisegonelle Comte D' Anjou. She had a brother and a sister, named Geoffroy II "Martel" and Elizabeth D'.  She was the youngest of the three children.  She died at the age of 58 on March 18th, 1076 in Anjou, France.
