Maud Countess of was born about 1218 in Angus, Angusshire, Scotland.  Maud Countess of's father was Malcolm Earl of Caithness & Angus and her mother was Mary de Berkeley.  Her paternal grandfather was Duncan 5th Earl of Angus; her maternal grandparents were Humphrey de Berkeley , Lord of Gartley and Agatha.  She was an only child.  She died about 1261 in Castle Prudhoe, Northumberland, England.
