William de was born after 1146 in Belvoir Castle, Leicestershire, England.  William de's father was William "Le Breton" de Albini , Lord of Belvoir and his mother was Maud FitzRobert.  His maternal grandparents were Robert FitzRichard , Lord of Dunmow and Maud de St. Liz. He had a sister named Matilda de.  He was the older of the two children.  He died on May 1st, 1236 in Offington, England.  He was buried in Newstead Abbey, Nottinghamshire, England.
