Adeliza De was born about 1115 in Tunbridge, Kent, England. Adeliza De's father was Richard Fitz Gilbert De Clare and her mother was Adeliza Alice De Meschines Gernon. Her paternal grandparents were Gilbert Fitz Richard De Clare [Earl Hertford] and Adeliza De Clermont; her maternal grandparents were Ranulph De Meschines 3rd Earl Of Chester and Lucy (Lucia) Of Mercia. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Gilbert De, Roger De, Robert, Richard De, Rohese De, Alice De and Rose De. She was the second oldest of the eight children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Roger De and Isabel De. She died in St Osyths Priory.General Notes
