Llywelyn Fawr "The Great" Of Wales was born in 1173 in Dolwyddelan Castle, Wales and his baptism took place in 1194.  Llywelyn Fawr "The Great" Of Wales' father was Prince Iorwerth Drwyndwn "Broken Nose" Ap Of North Wales OWAIN GWYNEDD and his mother was Margaret FERCH MADOG.  His paternal grandparents were Prince Owain Fawr King of North Wales AP GRUFFYDD and Gwladys VERCH  LLYWARCH; his maternal grandparents were Prince/Prince Madog AP MAREDUDD Meda and Susanna FERCH GRUFFUDD.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 67 on April 11th, 1240 in Aberconway, Gwynedd, Wales.  He was buried in Conway.
