Ralph was born on April 4th, 1897 in Monroe County, Indiana. Ralph's father was Samuel W. McGlothlin and his mother was Mary Jane Moore. His paternal grandparents were John G. McGlothlin and Lucindia Zike; his maternal grandparents were Pinkney Moore and Elizabeth Bennett. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Walter, Otis, Hassel, Samuel Winfred, Lena Edna, Etta Belle, Lou, Gretchen and Bessie. He was the fifth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 74 on October 11th, 1971 in Bloomington, Monroe, Indiana. He was buried in Clover Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, Indiana.General Notes
