Connecting Link's father was Thomas Masterson and his mother was Katherine (Cecily) Clere. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Maisterson Esq. and Mary (Margery) Ma(i)nwaring. He had five brothers and a sister, named Richard, Nicholas, John, George, Henry and Margaret.General Notes

the William and Mary Quarterly of 1926 to the effect that Edward
Masterson Sr was a descendant of Sir Thomas Masterson of Wexford. This
