Homer Francis was born on December 7th, 1923 in Monroe Co., Indiana. Homer Francis' father was Homer Francis Harmon and his mother was Cordelia Shields. His maternal grandparents were Charles Edgar Shields and Elizabeth Jane Hedrick. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Edgar M., Robert Turner, James Franklin, Catherine Marie and Wanda Elizabeth. He was the second youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 54 on December 6th, 1978 in Monroe Co., Indiana. He was buried in Valhalla Memory Gardens, Bloomington, Monroe Co., Indiana.-
