Ezra Ellis was born on September 12th, 1903 in Polk Twp, Monroe Co., Indiana. Ezra Ellis' father was John Perry Eads and his mother was Nancy Ann Martin. His paternal grandparents were Peter Eads and Sarah A.( Nuckles) Knockolls; his maternal grandparents were James Martin and Elizabeth Sipes. He had nine brothers and four sisters, named Clarence, Cecil, Clifford R., Marshall P., Aaron Ray, Persing, Dewey, John, Herschell, Lula, Mary E., Eunice Mae and Ella. He died at the age of 70 on August 21st, 1974 in Heltonville, Monroe County, Indiana. He was buried in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Monroe Co., Indiana.General Notes
Heltonville - Ezra E. Eads, 71, of R. 1 Heltonville, died Wednesday
morning at his home.
He was born Sept. 12, 1902, in Monroe County, the son of John and
Nancy Ann (Martin) Eads. He was a quarry worker and a member of the
Nazarene Church at Chapel Hill.
surviving is the wife, Virginia (Moss); one daughter, Nancy Lee
Martin of Heltonville; four step sons, Phillip Stottsman, at home, Joseph
Stottsman of Kentucky, Wallace Stottsman of Virginia, and Harold
Stottsman of North Carolina; five brothers, Cecil Eads, Clifford Eads,
and Marshall Eads, all of Bloomington, John Eads of Muncie, and Herschel
Eads of Heltonville; three sisters, Ella Teeter of Louisville, KY, May
Chambers of Bloomington and Lula Sowders of Utica; two grandchildren, and
13 Sept grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p,.m. Saturday at the Chapel Hill
Church, with the Rev. Charles Tomes presiding. Burial will be at the
Chapel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the residence after 1 p.m.
today. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Jones Funeral Home
