Hans Georg was born in Preuschdorf, Alsace, France. Hans Georg's father was Michael Kuntz and his mother was Margretha Schaffer. His paternal grandparents were Peter Kuntz and UNKNOWN Unknown. He had a brother named Peter. He died in Maryland.General Notes
Georg married first Margaretha Biebel in Nov. 1703 in Preuschdorf.
Margaretha was the daughter of Hans Biebel, Gerichtsschoffen (juryman,
member of the lay jury for smaller crimes).
Margaretha died in 1711.
A late entry at the marriage record notes "Went to the new land". Georg
and family boarded the ship "Loyal Judith" in Rotterdam, and after a stop
in Cowes, arrived Sept. 25, 1732 in Philadelphia, PA. The ship was
registered in London and captained by Robert Turpin. Also on board was
Hans Kuntz. They moved to Fredricks County, MD.
