Samuel Early was born on July 26th, 1826 in WV. Samuel Early's father was Jacob Reed Young and his mother was Nancy Ann Stephenson. His paternal grandparents were John Young and Keziah Tackett; his maternal grandparents were Alexander Stephenson and Sarah Ann Ewing. He had five brothers and four sisters, named James, John Valley, Alexander S., Lewis Norman, Jacob, Margaret, Malinda, Sarah and Nancy. He was the third youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 91 on April 27th, 1918 in Clay County,WV.-
