John Valley Young

John Valley was born on June 15th, 1813 in Kanawha County,WV. John Valley's father was Jacob Reed Young and his mother was Nancy Ann Stephenson. His paternal grandparents were John Young and Keziah Tackett; his maternal grandparents were Alexander Stephenson and Sarah Ann Ewing. He had five brothers and four sisters, named James, Alexander S., Lewis Norman, Samuel Early, Jacob, Margaret, Malinda, Sarah and Nancy. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 54 on November 13th, 1867 in Putnam County. He was buried in Franklin Cemetery,Kanawha County.
