Thomas Simms 
Thomas was born in 1726 in Sittenbourne Parish,Richmond County,Virginia. Thomas' father was Thomas Simms and his mother was Rebecca Petty. His paternal grandparents were William Sims Jr. and Amy Clarke; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Petty III and Catherine Garton. He had five brothers and three sisters, named William, James, Richard, Zachariah, Elijah, Sarah, Amy and Ann. He died at the age of 83 in 1809 in Culpepper County,Virginia.-
