George was born in 1765 in Culpepper County,Virginia. George's father was James Simms and his mother was Mary Lemon. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Simms and Amy Wall. He was an only child. He died at the age of 64 on March 26th, 1829 in Madison County,Virginia.-
