Amy Horner 
Amy was born in 1575 in Mells,Somersetshire,England. Amy's father was Thomas Horner and her mother was Amy Popham. She was an only child. She died before 1658 in Frampton Cottrell,Gloucestershire,England.General Notes
Amy Horner was from a very illustrious family. Her grandfather, Sir John Horner, was also a High Sheriff and a very powerful politician. He is also the man about whom the poem "Little Jack Horner" was written. The plum that is mentioned in the poem is an abbey/estate which he inherited. Another of her grandfathers, Alexander Popham, was the judge who presided over the trial of Sir Walter Raleigh. Alexander's wife, Jane Stradling has ties to the English Royal Family thru Richard III.
Amy and John were married in a religious ceremony in 1605 in Poundsford,Charde,Somerset County,England. They had four sons and eleven daughters, named John, William, Henry, Thomas, Jane, Susan, Elizabeth, Katherine, Amy, Elinor, Dorothy, Edith, Abigail, Anne and Dowsabell.
