James Tomlinson 
James was born on November 6th, 1742. James' father was Joseph Tomilinson and his mother was Rebecca Drusilla Swearingen. His paternal grandparents were James Tomlinson and Harriett Trowbridge; his maternal grandparents were Van Swearingen and Elizabeth Walker. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, Samuel, Nathanial, Benjamin, Jesse, John, Elizabeth, Rebecca and Drusilla. He was the oldest of the ten children.-
