Thomas was born about 1708 in Elizabeth City,Virginia. Thomas' father was Thomas Needham and his mother was Margaret Elizabeth Bayley. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Needham and Margaret Anne UNKNOWN; his maternal grandparents were Walter Bayley and Margaret Needham. He had four brothers and a sister, named Christopher, John, Bayley, Gideon and Margaret Ann. He was the third youngest of the six children.General Notes
